You feel paralyzed by grief
You feel lonely even when you are around others
You feel like your past trauma may be impacting the way you live your life today
You sleep too much or not nearly enough, and your energy is not so great
It is difficult to just be yourself
You worry about things that do not make sense or wonder if you are “crazy” sometimes
You may let people know what is going on, or you may hide it. Either way, it sucks and are you ready for change?

Hi,
I am Brittany Tracey
I am a Registered Psychotherapist.
I believe that every person has their own story, one that is personal and unique. Sometimes these stories may be painful and if there is anything I have come to learn, it is that they deserve to be heard.
We all deserve to be heard and this is something I feel strongly about. I also recognize that in order for these stories to unfold, a certain type of environment must be created. I believe it takes a safe, warm, and nonjudgmental environment to which I am offering to my clients. A place for your story to be heard.
My main areas of practice are Anxiety, Anger Management and Codependency. I am currently accepting new clients for online therapy and counselling in Ontario.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
What is a free consultation session?
The free consultation session is a valuable opportunity for individuals to explore the world of therapy and determine if it is the right fit for them. This initial session, which typically lasts between 20 to 30 minutes, serves as a chance for both the therapist and the client to get to know each other better.
During this time, the therapist will encourage the client to openly discuss the reasons they are seeking therapy. Whether it’s dealing with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, or any other mental health concern, this session allows the client to express their needs and concerns in a safe and supportive environment.
Additionally, the therapist will inquire about any specific goals the client may have for their therapy journey. Whether it’s improving self-esteem, developing coping mechanisms, or simply finding a space to vent and be heard, these goals will help guide the therapeutic process and ensure that the client’s needs are met.
Furthermore, the consultation session provides an opportunity for the client to share their hopes and wishes for the therapy sessions. This could include their desired outcomes, expectations, or any particular preferences they may have. By openly discussing these aspirations, the therapist can tailor their approach to best meet the client’s needs and create a collaborative therapeutic relationship.
Importantly, the consultation session is also a time for the client to ask any questions they may have about the therapist’s approaches and techniques. This allows the client to gain a better understanding of the therapist’s style and determine if it aligns with their own preferences and comfort level. Building a strong rapport and feeling comfortable with the therapist is crucial for a successful therapeutic journey.
Additionally, the consultation session provides an opportunity to discuss practical matters such as insurance coverage, session rates, and scheduling. This ensures that the client is well-informed about the financial aspects of therapy and can make an informed decision about moving forward with the therapist.
In conclusion, the free consultation session offered is a valuable opportunity for individuals to explore their mental health needs, establish a connection with a therapist, and gather important information about the therapeutic process. By taking advantage of this session, individuals can embark on a journey towards healing and personal growth with confidence and clarity.
How often and for how long do I have to attend therapy sessions?
There is no set number of sessions you must attend. It is the client’s choice. Some clients have short term goals in mind. And once the goals are achieved, they end the therapeutic relationship. For some it is long term, and they would prefer attending sessions to discuss and navigate the different challenges in their life.
This is a personal choice at the same time it would be recommended to attend sessions frequently in the beginning and then spacing them out once you notice progress.
Do you offer sliding scale for Therapy and Counselling Services?
Yes, we offer sliding scale based on the client’s financial situation and if therapy and counselling services are not covered by their insurance. The rate can be discussed with the therapist during the consultation session.
What is the cancellation policy for Therapy and Counselling Services?
One hour from the schedule is set aside for you and when there is a no show or a late cancellation, there will be a charge. Hence, you would be required to provide the clinic with 24 hours’ notice. If this is not provided, you would be charged a full fee.
